Architectural masterpiece of the 18th century, the Great Stables were built by the architect Jean Aubert for Louis-Henri de Bourbon, 7th prince of Condé. Located on the 1st floor of the Château, the large suites were used as reception rooms by the Princes of Bourbon-Condé. The Château de Chantilly houses one of the most extensive libraries France. The reading room designed by architect Honoré Daumet at the end of the 19th century forms a showcase for the manuscripts of the princes of Condé and the Duke of Aumale’s treasures.
