Presentation of the acquisitions and restorations of the Logis by the Amis du musée Condé

The Logis is a major wing of the Château de Chantilly. In 1875, Henri d’Orléans, Duke of Aumale (1822-1897), commissioned his architect Honoré Daumet to build a new wing on the traditional site of the Montmorency and Condés royal lodgings. However, in 1886, the Duke decided to convert this princely apartment into an art gallery. He added eight rooms and two galleries to showcase his increasingly extensive collections.
Today, these areas display many of the Musée Condé’s masterpieces. Members of the Amis du the Musée Condé will be on hand in the Salle Isabelle to show you the major restorations made possible thanks to their commitment and financial support.
