Public Meeting - Implementation of the Crisis Management Plan for the Château de Chantilly Forest
For several years now, the forest surrounding the Château de Chantilly has been facing significant tree decline, primarily due to repeated droughts, sandy soil, and the presence of cockchafer larvae, which weaken the trees, particularly the oaks.
To address this crisis, a 2026–2035 management plan has been developed in collaboration with the National Forest Service to adapt forest management to climate change. This plan includes, in particular, more diversified tree species management, tree health monitoring, biodiversity protection, and the implementation of scientific initiatives to better understand and preserve the forest.

A public meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in Chantilly to discuss the implementation of the forest crisis management plan. This event will provide an opportunity to present the planned actions, explain the issues at stake, and answer questions. Open to everyone, this meeting is free of charge and aims to inform and engage with the general public about the future of the forest.
