A weekend at Chantilly

Take the time to travel like a Prince!

This itinerary is ideal to make the most of the site and appreciate the extent of its treasures! In one day, you can discover the château, walk through the grounds, with their 3 historic gardens, sheep and kangaroos, and finish with the Great Stables, the largest princely stables in Europe. And all at a leisurely pace!

DAY 1

Morning

Visit the château: the Large Suites, Gallery of Paintings, Reading Room.

Lunch time

Have lunch at the restaurant in the château, formerly Vatel’s kitchens, or try one of the great bistros on the rue du Connétable in Chantilly.

Afternoon

Don’t miss the equestrian demonstration at 2.30 pm (included in entrance ticket) in the Great Stables or the equestrian show (accessible with a show ticket OR a 1 Day ticket + Show) according to the day of your visit! See demonstration/show dates and times. While you’re here, make the most of it to visit the Living Museum of the Horse.

Evening

The Oise is full of charming guesthouses, unique stays, and beautiful hotels. Take your pick!

All year round, the Henson equestrian centres offer you the chance to discover Chantilly on horseback.

Lunch Time

Enjoy a relaxing break in the park’s restaurant, Le Hameau, in the heart of the Anglo-Chinese garden, where you can sample real Chantilly cream! By the way, did you know who invented the Chantilly cream?

Evening

Bring the day to a perfect end with a stroll in the grounds and its 3 historic gardens: the French formal garden designed by André Le Nôtre, the Anglo-Chinese garden or the English garden.
